Our Programs

After-School Classes:

During the school year, we offer weekday after-school classes at our main location, 321 Taraval (at Funston), where we have classrooms and a dance floor.

Monday/Wednesday and Tuesday/Thursday Literacy and Math classes meet twice a week. All other classes meet once a week. During the school year, we also focus on Martial Arts, Sports, and Science, in addition to Literacy and Mathematics.

Our maximum student teacher ratio for all classes is 12:1. Average enrollment for most classes is 6-9 students.

Summer School Classes:

We believe that our society's 11-week summer vacation habit is an absurd anachronism left over from our agrarian past. Kids who don't have to work on the family farm between June and August should be constructively occupied for most of the school break. In response, we offer meticulously planned, explicit lessons delivered by specialized, perpetually cheerful teachers - with lots of time for free play before, between, and after.

Our First Session (June 23 - July 11) as well as our Second Session (July 14 - August 1) are held at Harvey Milk Elementary School, 4235 19th Street (at Collingwood). Our Third Summer Session (August 4 - 22) is held at our main location, 321 Taraval (at Funston).
