Golden Gate Regional Center (GGRC) Clients

Our summer 2008 program was vendorized by the GGRC, and we served six GGRC clients over nine weeks. During this period, we learned a lot about how best to do inclusive movement, art, music, and academic programs. We are being advised by well-known local occupational therapists, physical therapists, and speech pathologists as we fine-tune our inclusion programs.

We have an application for vendorization pending with the GGRC that will hopefully cover our school year programs. We are asking that our programs be approved for GGRC payment as respite services. Meanwhile, we have discounted all tuition from $15 to $10/hour for GGRC clients.

At this time, all one-on-one aides (if necessary) must be funded by families or the GGRC. In the future we will likely request GGRC vendorization for personal assistance services.

Our location at Covenant Presbyterian Church (Funston & Taraval) is fully ADA-compliant. While we have ramp at our St. Paul's Presbyterian Church location (43rd & Judah), we do not yet have an ADA-compliant bathroom there. We are working with the church authorities and sources of funding to rectify this situation, but we cannot expect to have an ADA-compliant bathroom there before the 2009-2010 academic year.
